match Technical Services underwent a transformation in 2007. Our specialty until then was the monitoring of the quality of production in Asian factories for American companies. If you are looking for the old website, it has been replaced by this new one that focuses on our own products. You can still contact us in the usual way if you would like to arrange vendor or product evaluations.
We took a bold step in 2007, and proudly announced the design, development and production of our own line of accessories for photography, which prompted the website's redesign.
Thumbs Up was our first direct consumer product, and improves the handling of the Leica M8 and film M cameras. So far, we have sold Thumbs Up in over 30 countries, with dealers in the USA (PopFlash.Photo and Tamarkin), the UK (Robert White), Italy (LeicaTime), Germany (Leica Fotografie International), Japan (Lemon Camera), and Australia (Mainline Photographics). Thumbs Up has also been the subject of positive reviews in the pages of Viewfinder (the journal of the Leica Historical Society of America) and Leica Fotografie International in the October 2007 edition and August 2008 edition. M-Coder and D-Coder were the next design projects, and together form the Coder Kit. This kit provides a foolproof way to encode, quickly and conveniently, any M mount lens from Leica, Cosina-Voigtlander, Zeiss, and other manufacturers, so that the lens is recognized by the Leica M8. The Coder Kit does not permanently mark or alter your lens in any way.
Tim Isaac, our chief designer, has been creating original design solutions to meet numerous challenging projects spanning 30 years. He is well versed in creating designs that meet the demanding constraints of ergonomics, production efficiency, and esthetics. Now, he is pursuing the consumer camera accessory market, with innovative designs that are winning the praises of professional photographers and camera experts from around the world.
Tim has been awarded both Utility and Design patents in the USA and other countries, so it may come as no surprise that his Thumbs Up and Coder Kit are finding both critical praise and loyal consumers.
